Nick Place has performed throughout the United States as a collaborative pianist and music director in both musical theatre and opera. From 2013 to 2015 he held the position of Pianist/Music Director for the Artists in Residence program at Pensacola Opera where he was also involved in mainstage productions as assistant conductor and chorus master. Off and On between 2012 and 2016, Nick spent time working in Boston, MA at The Boston Conservatory at Berklee as a staff pianist in both musical theatre and classical schools. At the conservatory, he performed with the opera department, in recital with instrumental and vocal soloists, and with guest masterclass teachers. His time in Boston also brought him to Arlington Street Church as their pianist and organist. For the summers of 2016 and 2017, Nick was music director at Forestburgh Playhouse in the Catskills of New York. Currently, he is a pianist/vocal coach at Rider University’s Westminster School of Fine and Performing Arts, where he works privately with students of musical theatre and music directs theatre productions.
