To Quakers, an “Inner Light,” a voice of conscience, or God, is something we all have within us. Our task is to listen closely for this, and to follow it. This is not an easy or simple task, as we are full of competing voices, emotions, temptations, and urges. It takes time to think and feel our way through the cacophony in our brains. So we will take time this morning to put aside the daily routine and pay attention to our Inner Light in silence and reverence.
