In Thrall of Fallen Angels: Implicit Bias & Our Primitive Brain, & the Hard Path Through

baby-buddhaThat Buddha said that life is suffering was not new for his time. That he named a way out of suffering (the eightfold path), that was revolutionary. It turns out that we humans suffer from implicit bias, which affects how we navigate around the social construction of race. It’s complex and deep, but echoing the Buddha’s understanding, both science and meditation teachers are telling us that there just might be a path out of this particular kind of suffering.
