The whole community comes together this Sunday as we launch our new shared ministry together with Rev. Karen. Everyone is joyfully invited to take part.
For the Water Ingathering ritual, collect a small sampling of water from a place that is special to you and bring it with you. This can be from your own backyard or from travels near and far. It can come from an ocean, or a rain puddle, or even your kitchen sink.
During the service you will be invited to add your water to the collective waters and to speak a one- or two-word intention or quality you are claiming for this year (you can also add your waters silently).
Not sure what your intention or quality should be? Here are some questions to ask yourself to help you:
- Lately, I have found myself wishing I was more [quality]
- In my spiritual life, I hope to grow this [quality/intention] in myself or the world
- I really admire this [ quality] in a certain person and I wish I was more like that.
- The world sure could use more [quality/intention]
