Sunday Service, September 27, 2020 10:30 AM — The Impossibility of Universalism (Online Service)

Universalism tells us that everyone receives divine love, everyone gets into heaven (there is no hell or eternal damnation).  Our First Principle which honors and affirms the inherent worth and dignity of every individual stems from this theological heresy.  Yet, it can be well near impossible to live into — to not be able to see the worth of someone who causes great harm, who uses power to oppress, who hurts people we love.  The most fundamental aspect of Unitarian Universalism may be the hardest.  Let’s explore about its impossibility.  And its possibility.
